About

Ron Gordon, Ph.D., is a Patent Agent with Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP. Ron’s practice focuses on the drafting and prosecuting of patent applications. Ron’s areas of technical expertise include optical imaging systems, semiconductor manufacturing technologies, VR/AR systems including hardware/firmware wearable technology, gesture evaluation, biometrics, machine learning, image processing, and audio processing including voice assistant technology, and mathematical modeling algorithms.

 

Prior to joining Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP, Ron spent six years as a Patent Agent at the law firm of Bainwood, Huang & Associates, LLC, where his practice included patent prosecution and patent portfolio management. Additionally, Ron spent three years as a Technology Specialist at the law firm of Fish & Richardson, P.C. where his practice included patent prosecution, patentability analysis, freedom-to-operate analysis, and litigation support.

 

Prior to becoming a Patent Agent, Ron accumulated over 15 years of experience as an engineer with technology leaders such as IBM and Motorola. In that time, Ron developed innovative platforms for simulating lithographic processes, resolution enhancement technologies for the 90nm, 65 nm, 45 nm, and 32 nm nodes, and novel optical diffraction models. Ron is an inventor on five U.S. patents and has authored over 30 technical publications.
